We are seeking an experienced maintenance technician with experience in general maintenance, lighting, and plumbing. This role will ensure exceptional quality and service to our owners and residents and assist the manager by tracking maintenance requests.

The Village at Forest Glen is a community of individually owned condominiums. Built in 1985, the community consists of 74 units in the main building and separate cottages .

The Homeowners Association oversees the operation of the entire community including building maintenance, landscaping, and building amenities.

The units are owner-occupied, with a limited number of rental units.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements :

• Relevant work experience (3 plus years).
• Time management and attendance a must!
• Self-starter maintaining a clean, professional appearance and work environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Must have compassion and desire to collaborate with seniors.
• Knowledge of building equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.)
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and maintenance shop.
• Basic reporting and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test.

Essential Functions :

Below is a list of common duties but not limited to.

• Daily walkabouts to inspect and maintain the grounds free of debris and trash.
• Routine maintenance of the interior of the building and common areas.
• Inspect the interior for cleanliness.
• Patching, painting, and repairing interior walls as needed.
• Carpet / floor care and maintenance as needed.
• Hall and common area inspection.
• Routine maintenance of the exterior & year-round seasonal maintenance including :
• Blowing leaves off roofs and sidewalks, winterization, and gutters.
• Inspecting and cleaning common area around pond.
• Pressure washing sidewalks, building and garages.
• Daily trash and recycling pick up.
• General plumbing issues :
• Repair Toilets, sinks, vanities, and disposals.
• Unclog Drains.
• Install and or repair dishwashers, TV’s, washer / dryers, and stoves.
• Minor electrical.
• Meet with vendors during maintenance inspections.
• Coordinate with contracted vendors as needed.
• Fix or install garage door openers.
• Assist the Administrator with fire and emergency safety training and drills.
• Respond to resident / Administrator / staff requests for maintenance through maintenance reports and log system.
