Position Summary: The Windows Systems Engineer will report to the Senior Infrastructure Architect. The ideal candidate will be involved in all activities related to the daily support and ongoing improvement of our networking and storage infrastructure. Duties will include the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various business support technologies. Ensure the functionality and efficiency of computers, telecom, and surveillance and cloud systems.

Duties & Responsibilities: CSC Systems include ERP, CRM, WMS, MS SQL, LAN/WAN, VPN, IPS, Microsoft Server platforms and technologies, Windows Server, System Center, Hyper-V, Exchange Server, SQL Server, IIS Web Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy administration, File/Print Server administration, Storage technologies, Software Defined technologies, Scale, Acronis, and Vulnerability Scanners.

• Ten (10) years directly working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies, PowerShell & Scripting technologies
• Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPO’s
• Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS
• Expert Knowledge of VMWare, VXrail, and Disaster recovery
• Expert Knowledge of VMWare, VXrail, Hyper-V and Disaster recovery
• Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (Hyper-V and VMware)
• Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative; self-starter
• Install, configure, support, and maintain company’s systems and networks of all types
• Ensure that the systems and their applications are at current release levels, patched, securely configured, and in good repair.
• Participate in the planning, approval, and implementation of approved Change Management requests.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems involving servers, network infrastructure, and virtual environments.
• Tracking performance and usage of the desktop computing environment.
• Maintain security and monitoring tools to provide first line of security configurations and proactive security expertise for our network.
• Maintain backup and restore systems to ensure service levels are met.
• Learn new network and server technologies and features as needed to meet changing business requirements.
• Position will require answering help desk support.
• Position will require on-call support rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related fields required.
• Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations with a strong emphasis on Cisco.
• Strong Knowledge of layer 2/3 networks protocols, firewalls, and other network security devices (VPN, IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years IT experience in a similar role with Microsoft Server platforms and technologies with an emphasis on Windows Server, System Center, Hyper-V, Exchange Server, SQL Server, IIS Web Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy administration, File/Print Server administration, Storage technologies, and Software Defined technologies.
