SUMMARY
Paragon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking an Environmental Operations Manager to support and develop environmental work on the East Coast. Primarily responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of environmental remediation projects to meet the cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and bidding of all major projects. This is a technical position requiring a degree in engineering or geology or similar degree pertaining to environmental restoration. This position requires an independent thinker that is self-motivated and able to develop environmental work along the East Coast.

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
This position requires the ability to maneuver around contaminated and construction sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking, or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at times lift and carry as much at 60 pounds; near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must be able to work in an office setting, sit for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, telephone, and keyboard. Travel requirements as dictated will require the ability to sit on planes and in vehicles for extended periods of time.

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The job is performed in a modern office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. This position requires driving and working out of doors in extreme heat/cold and possibly rainy weather. Must be able to navigate all typical worksite conditions. May require travel up to a week out of office.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
