SkySource Solutions Inc. is Hiring an Industrial Electrician Near Belle Chasse, LA
Hours/Pay:
- Starting at $31/hr, to be hired in at a higher rate
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience with installing, configuring, and programming VFDs and motor control systems.
- Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety.
- Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience conducting root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Skilled in performing hands-on tasks such as wiring, terminations, and component replacement in motor control panels and enclosures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts inventory.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in motor control systems maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with motor control circuits, motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related electrical components.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical education or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred
