Job DescriptionCustomer Support Representative - Not a remote position
Direct Medical Incorporated is a nationwide medical supply company based in the Midwest. We have helped thousands of patients over the last 16 years obtain the supplies they need to preform dressing changes at home. We deliver physician driven, patient centered protocols right to their front door and handle the insurance billing on their behalf. With 16 years of experience in wound care, we are ready to take the next step and are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team to help us expand into other markets.
Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our customer support team. This is a fast paced, yet rewarding position where you can provide solutions for clinicians and patients across the country. You will also be able to have an active part in continuing education as it relates to DME billing.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with building and maintaining a customer database
  • Perform insurance verifications both verbally and electronically
  • Communicate benefits to patients to provide them a choice while allowing them to participate in maintaining a reasonable cost for supplies
  • Building orders based on provider recommendations
  • Work with providers to effectively combine treatment plans with reimbursement guidelines
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure patients are not experiencing delays in receiving their medical supplies
  • Play an active role in the compliance program by learning and following the regulations as established by State and Federal agencies, as well as corporate standards of conduct
  • Track activity and respond to tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • 2 years experience in a fast-paced, customer focused office environment
  • DME experience preferred
  • Medical office experience a plus
  • Compassion for helping others
