Financial Controller Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Financial Controller Hours: Regular Business Hours (Full Time)

Financial Controller Responsibilities:

• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
• Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
• Trains and manages financial staff by coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Assists in the month-end closing process, including generating analyses and required journal entries, so that financial statements accurately reflect activity
• Analyses balance sheet accounts, detailing the composition of the account balances. Follows up on outstanding items
• Assists in the preparation of monthly custom reporting for Operations, Development, and Finance
• Maintains analysis of rental and other miscellaneous revenue billings and ensures proper payment is received
• Assists with the year-end audit

Financial Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting
• 5 years related job experience
• Experience and Knowledge of Federal and State Grants and Subsidies (Preferred)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
