DescriptionA Manufacturing Engineer, or Manufacturing Process Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
Requirements
- Draft and execute FAT, SAT, and IQ protocols
- Draft and release PM procedures for machining and secondary operation equipment
- Plan and execute DOE’s to fulfill OQ and PQ requirements
- Manage CAPA’s (Corrective Action Preventive Action)
- Design and manufacture fixturing
- Draft SWI’s and SOP’s for various processes
- Data analysis (process capability studies, Cp, CpK, etc...)
- Initiate and manage ECN’s and OCN’s
- Participate in the conceptualization, design, fabrication, testing, and implementation of gauging.
- Design and generate CAD Models and Drawings of Gauges and Fixtures within Solidworks
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality personnel to develop and revise gauge designs
- Request quotes and place purchase requisitions for new gauge designs.
- Data mining (investigations)
- Plan and execute Gauge R&R’s and MSA’s
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite software
- Knowledge of Solidworks or equivalent software
- Operation of production and quality equipment
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 5 years minimum manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Basic knowledge of GD&T
- ERP Experience
- Minitab software experience
- Six Sigma and Lean principles
