Maine Medical Weight Loss Clinic is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Biddeford, ME

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience in medication administration and essential life support.

Responsibilities
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Assist healthcare professionals with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Assist with X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide patient education on various medical conditions and treatment plans
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications
- We are looking for a nurse/paramedic/Medical Assistant who has completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic life support techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
