Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).You must meet the "Specialized Experience" to qualify for the Supervisory Auditor Performance position, as described below:
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Specialized Experience For This Position Includes
  • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of federal information technology programs and functions,
  • Analyzing and evaluating the cybersecurity posture of mission critical operations, systems, or management functions, and
  • Leading and/or managing people.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
All Applicants Must Meet The Individual Occupational Requirement
  • Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting.
or
  • Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
  • A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination; or
  • Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours.
  • Must submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) or a list of coursework with hours completed proof of Basic Requirement. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States. For example, specific courses accepted for college-level credit by an accredited U.S. college or university, or foreign education evaluated by an organization recognized for accreditation by the Department of Education as education equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. college or university.
