The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling various immigration cases and will be responsible for preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.Duties:Manage and assist clients with employment-based immigration matters, including PERM, H-1B, L-1, E-1 and E-2, O-1, TN, J-1 waivers, and EB-1 through EB-5 cases.Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications accurately and efficiently.Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.Identify and pursue business development opportunities with prospective clients.Supervise and mentor associates and staff on immigration matters.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Michigan or willing and able to become licensed.Minimum of 8 years of relevant employment-based immigration experience.Proven experience obtaining temporary and permanent immigration status for professionals and highly skilled foreign nationals.Experience preparing nonimmigrant visa applications.Experience representing clients in immigration appeals and immigration court is a plus.Skills:Excellent understanding of immigration law and procedures.Strong analytical and research skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Certifications:Any relevant certifications in immigration law are preferred.
