The Early Childhood Teacher is a critical member of the Scott Early Learning Center team, using Creative Curriculum® to enhance the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of children through play and hands-on experiences. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will develop individualized lesson plans and meet with parents to support the best outcomes for your students. Candidate qualifications:

• At least an Associate’s Degree in Child Development, or an Associate’s Degree in a related field with 18 hours of ECE credits required.
• Gateways Early Childhood Education Level 4 and Infant Toddler Credentials required.
• Strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and emotional development are just as important as reading and math readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten.
• A warm, open communication style and can easily build rapport with both children and adults.
• Attentive to detail, organized, and self-motivated.
• Enjoy working collaboratively with a team to reach shared goals.

Job details:

• Compensation: Range starts at $42,000, offers are commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off per year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure; 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)
• Location: Classroom setting (1119 E. Taylor, Bloomington, IL 61701)
• Schedule: Full-time, salaried; center is open Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:30pm; assigned shifts will vary.
