Tax Manager (39014)

Our client is a Chicago Tribune "Top Workplaces" 2023 Award winner, and is looking for a Tax Manager to be the second in command to the VP of Tax. You will manage the entire federal return process, mentor three direct reports, and will provide leadership & direction in various tax functions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in all matters related to Federal income taxation.
• Manage the preparation of the consolidated income tax return for the enterprise.
• Manage the quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations including statutory footnote preparation.
• Lead aspects of tax planning initiatives to determine the impact of new initiatives on operating strategies.
• Work with Corporate and business unit partners to develop plans that harmonize tax planning with Long-term business plans.
• Manage and develop tax personnel.

Qualifications:

• Extensive Knowledge of Corporate Federal income taxation
• ASC 740 experience
• CPA or MST is highly preferred
• 6 years total experience and at least 2 years of managerial experience

Compensation range: $120k -$140k annually, bonus eligible position
