The Role:
Under the direction of Product Marketing, the Digital Content Strategist is responsible for planning, creating, and editing lifestyle, and clinically oriented content contributions throughout the entire platform. This position will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring content and data that is part of Pager's email marketing campaigns, engagement messaging, and validating automated content generated by AI.
The Digital Content Strategist will coordinate efforts among creative, technical, and other content sources to ensure the highest quality product output and user experience is achieved while maintaining the highest degree of customer focus. A wide variety of internal and external relationships are necessary to accomplish the objectives and perform the duties of this position. This position will work closely with other members of the product organization, operations, engineering, legal, and our clinical teams, as well as external partners where we source a wide variety of content for the platform. Developing and maintaining good communication with these contacts is essential to accomplishing the product department's goals. This position will also oversee content contributors throughout the enterprise providing leadership and direction to groups surrounding writing, proofing and use of our web-based configuration management system to publish content. Finally, this position will help identify content needs based on competitive platform analysis and gap analysis, participate in workflow and process management and collaborate with different levels of staff whom they do not have a direct reporting relationship with, throughout the Pager enterprise.
Responsibilities:
  • Writes and/or edits all digital content optimizing for user experience (UX), including accuracy, readability, and appropriateness for target audience and the web medium; provides feedback and collaborates with additional content contributors
  • Ensures and meets established production schedules and deadlines; works with additional content owners to maintain adherence to content reviews and content sunsets to ensure relevance and timeliness for the audience
  • Develops content strategy documents or project plans for content contribution, including deadlines coordinated with creative, marketing and technical teams to ensure that objectives and timetables are met
  • Develops a competitive platform content analysis/gap analysis, especially for new content areas
  • On occasion, can speak and present to clients on content strategy, design and user experience standards; collaborate with colleagues on content strategies and best practices
  • On occasion, can conduct research and interviews to write content and health care consumer-focused news and feature stories for the platform
  • Partners closely with our research and analytics teams to make recommendations on new content development, promotion, and which content to sunset based on inactivity
  • Develops timely production schedules and content inventories for platform and campaigns, recommends appropriate content; coordinates content assignment if applicable
  • Coordinates with and serves as a single point of contact for content contributors, within the enterprise communicating specific priorities to the Product Marketing team
What you bring:
  • 4 years of experience developing digitally focused, interactive content
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or a related editorial/communication field
  • Proven writing, editing, digital management, client service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with branding and marketing communications with an understanding of editorial considerations for publishing to digital platforms
  • Digital marketing background with experience using content management systems to manage internet/intranet properties
  • Strong computer skills and a high level of comfort learning new technology
  • Ability to work with leadership – both business and clinical
  • Ability to analyze and identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Expert level attention to detail, including documentation of standards for future work
  • Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work
  • Ability to listen empathetically
  • Comfortable accepting responsibility for medium to large scale projects involving multiple resources and spanning many months from start to finish
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
Offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. This may include but is not limited to substance testing, education, employment, references, state and federal licensure and certifications, criminal history, Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and General Services Administration (GSA) exclusions checks.
For Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC.
