Overview

The Apparel Designer will support the product assortment in creating fully packaged designs in specific categories. You will collaborate with the Design Director to translate seasonal strategy, consumer research, and brand aesthetic into brand-right designs. You will work closely with Technical/Product Developers to ensure successful product creation and fit intent is achieved.

Location/Reporting

• Location: Denver Metro (remote applicants will not be considered)
• Reports to: Design Director
• Travel: Limited travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Produce innovative design work based on seasonal strategy, consumer research, and brand aesthetic that meet the needs of the company’s customers and business goals
• Responsible for clearly articulating design and fit intent to cross-functional partners to ensure successful sampling development at initiation through production
• Initiate and maintain development of seasonal visual line plans in an effective manner from conception through production
• Display extensive knowledge of product history, fit, fabric, and brand aesthetic to develop appropriate styles and designs
• Research, identify, and share current industry trends for product and materials through the lens of broader market, but with the filter of the Pact consumer. Share industry expertise with teammates to foster growth in a collaborative team environment
• Confidently present concepts and designs to Design Director and cross-functional team members and receive feedback in a professional and constructive manner
• Independently manages workload and prioritizes tasks to adhere to key deadlines. Works closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
• Shop markets to inform teammates of future trends
• Other duties as required by the evolving nature of a fast-growth company

About You

• 6-8 years of related professional experience in apparel industry; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience considered
• Excels in digital flat sketching, proficient in Adobe Suite
• Comprehensive understanding of apparel construction and product manufacturing
• Thorough understanding of fabric construction, content, and quality
• Clear understanding of product development and product launch process
• Shows initiative and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be self-motivated and take ownership
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive thinking, initiative, and composure in a fast paced environment
• Entrepreneurial sensibility, collaborative and flexible working style

Compensation:

• Estimated to be $85K - $95K per year; bonus opportunity up to 10% of salary*
• Comprehensive health benefits, partially company sponsored
