Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Telecommunicator to join our team. As an Emergency Telecommunicator, you will play a crucial role in emergency response and public safety by handling incoming calls, dispatching appropriate personnel, and providing vital information to callers.

Responsibilities:
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls promptly and professionally
- Gather essential information from callers to determine the nature of the situation
- Dispatch emergency services such as police, fire, or medical assistance as needed
- Utilize phone systems and computer-aided dispatch software to manage calls and dispatch units
- Maintain composure under pressure and handle high-stress situations effectively
- Transcribe detailed information accurately and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency services, and other agencies
- Negotiate with callers to obtain necessary information for response
- Analyze situations quickly and make critical decisions to ensure appropriate action is taken

Qualifications:

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- High School Education/GED or equivalent

- Valid Driver's License

- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills

- Ability to type accurately and quickly while on the phone

- Familiarity with emergency response protocols and procedures is a plus

- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
