Job Description: Sales & Application Engineer
Missions
As Sales & Application Engineer for LIDAR SYSTEMS Divsion, you will assist the sales department to identify the right technical solutions. You will be part of meetings with customers/prospects as technical leader (especially for the Halo Photonics portfolio). Nevertheless, eventually, R&D department will be directly involved when customer will asked many customizations on existing product portfolio or new product development. You will also assist service people or directly customers, as aftersales support, to diagnose the lidar sytem and advise for the best installation and setting. You will work closely with the R&D department to advise on the best R&D programme needed for the LIDAR SYSTEMS customer applications. You will be a way of communication between new product development (NPD) team and customer. Your responsibilities will include advice the Business Development team on how conduct the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Core activities / Areas of result:
Definition of portfolio solutions needed in your Region/portfolio of actuation
Advice activitely on how to define the product strategy and roadmap for Atmosheric Lidar
Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Advise Sales team in discussiong with customers
Run some beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
Be an expert with respect to the competition
Act as a leader within the company

Education & Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience as an application engineer or wind assessment engineer Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products If possible, successful experience in an R&D or product development role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Technical background, with experience in technical fields of LIDAR Excellent teamwork skills and customer oriented spirit Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams Must be able to travel 25-35% of the time, Must be able to work remote in connection with Business Development, New Product Development, Customers, Management
