The Hearing Aid Practice (Front Desk) position requires frequent interaction with patients, medical professionals, and supervisors. Therefore, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and be personable with a naturally smiling face.
  • Greet patients and check patients in and out for appointments.
  • Answer calls from patients, insurances and other calls.
  • Compile and record patient intake, clinical tests, reports, and correspondence. Help each patient document and record pertinent information for the patient's intake.
  • Make patient happy to schedule next appointment and continuously encouraging the patient to follow up their treatment plan of care.
  • Assist the office manager with the accurate and professional collection of patient payments.
  • Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward them as required.
  • Fax, scan, and copy documents as necessary or directed.
  • Update and maintain databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and patient information.
  • Keep office area clean and tidy.
  • Perform secretarial functions like serving coffee or tea as necessary or directed.
  • Monitors preparation of reception area and front desk; brew coffee and prepare for tea in the reception area according to established procedure daily to include thorough cleaning coffee machine and the reception area frequently. Prepare stationery or copy papers, and also check computers and copy machine.
  • For receptionist to answer all incoming telephone calls to provider and ensures friendly communication of correct instructions to patient, client and family.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director, Managing Director, or Office Manager at required practice.
  • Assists in maintaining and operating environment that assures effective, efficient, safe operation of the clinic and responds to the patients’ and practitioners’ needs.
  • Demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information; adheres to strict standards regarding patient confidentiality, informed consent, and disclosure as required by HIPAA, Georgia law, and agency policy.
  • Always maintains patient/client confidentiality; demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information.
  • Supports and participates in continuing education and other appropriate experiences to improve professional competence.
  • Consistently on time and ready to begin work at the start of the workday. Do not abuse the availability of personal time off.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the clinicians.
  • Always presents a positive and professional demeanor with a smiling face.
  • Comply with the use of regulation scrubs at all times in practice.
  • Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
  • IDEAL CANDIDATE will be willing to travel 1-2 days per month to the Athens Practice (Mileage reimbursed)
