Job Title: Certified Union Payroll Specialist (Contract to Hire)

LHH is seeking a skilled Certified Union Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is located in either Brea or Santa Fe Springs, CA, and offers an hourly rate of $30. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing within the construction industry, particularly focusing on union payroll procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly union payroll accurately and on time.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with union regulations and contracts.
- Handle payroll inquiries and provide excellent customer service to employees.
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed.
- Assist with payroll audits and tax filings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the construction industry.
- Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of union payroll processes and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
