NEXDINE Hospitality is Hiring a Chef manager Near Bridgeport, MI

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The Chef Manager will be responsible for creating and executing menus, managing food inventory, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring a high standard of food quality and presentation in a skilled nursing and rehab setting.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in culinary arts (specifically in healthcare), along with excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and plan menus, considering factors such as food costs, customer preferences, and seasonal availability
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our established standards
  • Manage food inventory and ordering, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal stock levels
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, Michigan state regulations, and federal compliance.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and performance
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor food quality and customer feedback, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques, as well as health and safety regulations
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Creativity and a passion for food, with the ability to develop innovative and appealing menus
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, including inventory management and cost control
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
