JOB SUMMARY:The Equipment Manager will collaborate with customers, company employees, vendors, and manufacturers to promote sales in the areas of Customer Value Agreements, Telematics, Bulk Fluids and other value-added products or services. This position will be responsible to support and lead efforts with CVA Management, Central Dispatching (For Lube Trucks), Caterpillar Breakthroughs and Operational Excellence Programs, Telematics Applications and Hardware, and the piloting of new Applications as needed. This role will create, maintain, and achieve budgets and business objectives, as well as promote the company vision, mission, and basics to all employees.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong communication skills are a must, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess strong time management skills, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with others internally and externally.
  • Must have good computer skills, with the ability to operate Microsoft applications.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required in addition to a minimum of five years of experience related to parts and service management; or a high school diploma and ten years of related parts and service management, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Equipment or related industry experiencing preferred.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment including lifecycle costs and GPS technology is a plus.
  • Ability to sell products and services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
