In addition to electrical, we specialize in technology solutions and building automation systems and provide 24/7 service and maintenance. At Uihlein Electric, we pride ourselves on building trusted relationships forged by our commitment to safety and professionalism.

What you will do:

  • Directly oversees assigned projects of any size from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Ensures delivery of equipment, materials, tools, and field staff are scheduled to meet project deadlines
  • Plans and schedules resources with the Superintendent/Foreman to meet project expectations
  • Provides direction to field staff in terms of task management
  • Evaluate project costs, ensuring the project remains on/under budget, and updates monthly
  • Prepares, presents, and tracks Change Orders
  • Processes and maintains proper written documents needed for projects within the Project Filing System
  • Acts as a liaison between architects, contractors, and owners, etc.
  • Conducts site visits regularly, as required
  • Actively develop and identify opportunities and assist in marketing
  • Attends weekly project meetings both internally and externally
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural and Construction Engineering Management, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to understand electrical codes and standards (Electrical)
  • Ability to understand construction means and methods
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to use computerized estimating system and all Office Applications
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize multiple projects
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to exercise attention to detail
  • Possesses strong organizational capabilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
  • Ability to maintain rapport with customers, employees, etc.
  • Ability to network with industry professionals by participating in outside associations
  • Ability to understand, measure, and be accountable for project profit and losses
