Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant at Haverford Retail Partners, your core responsibilities will include the following:
- Record business transactions and maintain the general ledger, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Reviewing and approving payables.
- Participate in the month-end close and reporting processes for multiple entities and properties.
- Timely and accurate preparation, recording, and analysis of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Take part in the analysis, assessment, and acquisition of new properties/real estate investments.
- Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and present to firm leadership.
- Prepare information to support audits and tax filings.
- Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- One to three years of professional accounting experience.
- Experience with Real Estate accounting is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Growth mindset and commitment to learning and development.
