What You Will Be Doing
- Draw, maintain, and comprehend logic and flow diagrams for the purposes of designing programs, programming, simulation testing, creating HMIs, starting PLC programs from scratch, and startup
- Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation and life cycle cost and equipment selection.
- Determine and put into action process enhancements, especially with weekly reports from Process Auditing and frequent meetings.
- Give management information and reports so they can make decisions and analyze trends. Make technical presentations and deliver them to management.
- Lead engineering projects by managing, directing, resolving problems, and completing tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Examine and confirm that the company is adhering to the standard engineering practices that have been adopted. Examine and comment on any suggested modifications to engineering guidelines, rules, or specifications.
- In charge of delivering programming that is excellent, successful, and efficient from beginning to end. Create and execute programs for laser/camera, fixturing, and welding.
- Write technical PLC programs according to the guidelines. Perform troubleshooting on PLCs, Controllers, Tooling fixtures, and electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming repairs.
- Create and maintain programming for system integration with plant floor networks, automated production systems, and quality data collection systems.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree in related field or 5 years of automation/controls engineering
- Fluent in Allen Bradley
- Visions Systems experience
- Welding and robotics experience
- SQL programming experience
