Washington County Community College is seeking applicants to fill a full-time faculty position in Allied Health starting mid-August 2024. The academic year is mid-August to mid-May. The position is on a day/evening schedule and teaches both traditional and distance education (including online) settings. All positions will instruct 22 average contact hours (lab, shop, lecture, clinical, etc.) or 15 credit hours and 4 preparations per semester. Faculty positions are responsible for oversight of curriculum creation and revision; classroom instruction and management; collaboration with Department Chair, Program Director, and course scheduling management; student academic advising and student recruitment; management of program standards and assessment of program outcomes; establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleges, universities, and external stakeholders. Experience with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems a plus.
The Allied Health Instructor will be responsible for teaching health occupations and medical assisting courses.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related healthcare field, preferred credential as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (AAMA); three (3) years teaching experience, including effective presentation skills, and previous employment in the Medical Assisting/Allied Health Industry is preferred.
Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit, Level III, up to $55,802.36, salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
