The position we arebrewing:

The Machine Operator is primarily responsible for operatingmultiple production packaging lines based on schedule. They frequently workwith and assist in directing the activities of Production Specialists assignedto their line. They are expected to take the initiative and operate their lineswith a minimum of supervision. They are tasked with insuring that theirscheduled work is completed to standard for output and quality each shift,including cleaning and organizing. They complete logs and forms, and performtasks as directed by the Production Supervisor.

Whatyou will Measure and Blend:

Common functions are to set- up, monitor, operate and maintainmachinery at the packaging line to specific output and efficiency standards,labeling, packing product into cases, assembling cases, palletizing product,reworking, repacking, and other general tasks essential to the productionenvironment. Fine-tune and make adjustment to machinery calibrations to improveefficiency and accuracy. Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of machines,following standard operating procedures, health, and safety guidelines. Thisposition may participate as counters during periodic Physical Inventories. Theymay also serve as trainers for Production Specialists.

Documentation:

Make entries to logs or forms as required. Types of documents mayinclude:

  • Production records
  • Rework logs
  • Count sheets
  • Finished productchecks
  • Additional recordsas required

Cleaning and Maintenance:

The Machine Operator is responsible for their assigned cleaningand maintenance tasks as outlined in work instructions and the Master CleaningSchedule.

Material Handling:

Moving pallets of raw materials and finished goods using a palletjack. Moving miscellaneous production and supply items using a cart and/or handtruck.

Forklift Operation:

The Machine Operator may be required to drive a forklift onoccasion, and if so will be licensed in accordance.

Food Safety:

  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices by ensuring employees’ properhygiene, wearing gloves when contacting product or product surfaces, andpreventing cross contamination
  • Support integrated pest management by keeping doors closed whennot in use, and reporting any pest activity observed in the work area
  • Support foreign material control program by keeping work areasfree of debris, trash, tools, or parts
  • Report any food safety or food security concern to supervisor ormanager

Your Ingredients:

  • High School Diploma or the equivalentis required
  • Experience work in manufacturing orsimilar environment
  • Preferably one (1)year of prior experience within a manufacturing environment with priorexperience operating a machinery/equipment
  • Skilled technicians who control lightor heavy machinery
  • In depth knowledge to perform tasksproducing goods such as coffee packing
  • Strong interpersonal and communicationskills
  • Attention to details and concentrationalong with being precise in their work
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong analytical and criticalthinking skills
  • Able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment and handle multiple tasks
