Reports To: President & CEO
SummaryResponsible for administration of bank and holding company financial accounting, budgeting, vendor management, insurance, and facilities management. General oversight of information systems, funds management, regulatory compliance, new accounts, teller, and account management operations. Serve as the Bank’s security officer and Cashier, which is responsible for preparing the quarterly Report of Condition (Call Report).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operations department includes Management Information Systems (MIS), New Accounts, Tellers, Account Management, Wire Transfers and Compliance.
- Monthly preparation of board reports, including Key Ratios, Net Interest Margin, Asset/Liability reports, and Investment Portfolio reports.
- Quarterly preparation of the Consolidated Report of Condition and Income (Call Report).
- Manage and prepare monthly financial reports and all supporting schedules. Manage general ledger transactions and reporting. (See detail schedule.)
- Manage and prepare annual budget reports, supporting schedules and financial projections. (See detail schedule)
- Oversee bank security, including the preparation of the Bank’s Security Program.
- Departmental overview of vendor management program including contract review and retention, annual analysis with board reporting, new and renewal recommendations.
- Administer risk insurance program including policy renewals, claims tracking, and accounting. Provided financial analysis and account for employee health insurance program.
- Attend Board of Director meetings and serve on the following board committees: Executive, Loan & Loan Review, Personnel, Profit Sharing, Funds Management, Information System, Compliance, and Operations
- Develop, review, update, and/or submit all operational policies to Executive Committee.
- Liaison for independent financial auditors, tax return preparers, and FDIC examiners.
- Responsible for quarterly call report preparation, security officer, and merchant service administration.
- This position directly supervises the Investment/Operations Officer and oversees the entire operations department.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field of study or five (5) years experience in banking with demonstrated strong managerial and financial skills and understanding.
- A high level of organization is essential to be effective in managing the numerous areas of responsibilities and diverse subject matter.
- Accounting related certifications including CPA, CFP, or equivalents are required for this position.
