Specific Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and market dynamics.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
- Demand Planning:
- Lead demand forecasting activities, collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and other relevant teams.
- Utilize forecasting tools and market insights to generate accurate demand forecasts and anticipate customer needs.
- Sales and Operations Planning:
- Drive the Sales and Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to optimize resource allocation and achieve business objectives.
- Supplier Management:
- Lead supplier relationship management efforts, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supplier performance.
- Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply.
- Inventory Optimization:
- Oversee inventory management strategies to balance customer demand with cost efficiency.
- Utilize advanced analytics and forecasting techniques to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Operational Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and driving innovation across the supply chain.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track supply chain performance.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a track record of success in leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven experience in demand planning, sales and operations planning, and supplier management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 days in-office at uni Brands headquarters in Wheaton, IL.
