CyberCoders is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Carson, CA
The Accounting Manager will oversee the company's accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, improve the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for meeting the department's goals and objectives, as well as manage the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations.
- Ensure regular bank reconciliations and timely debt payments.
- Provide timely and comprehensive financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual reports.
- Participate in creating the annual budget and forecasts.
- Calculate budget variances and report any significant issues to management.
- Provide a system of management cost reports.
- Provide financial analysis as needed.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual and bank audits.
- Prepare supporting analytical schedules for the month-end package.
- Evaluate prepared journal entries, including consolidation and elimination entries; Close the system at the end of the month and generate monthly reports, including consolidated financials.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and ensure accruals are adequate.
- Conduct a detailed analysis of revenue and related credit card processing.
- Take the lead in year-end audits; prepare audit schedules as needed.
- Streamlining, improving, and implementing procedures in various accounting areas, such as AR, AP, invoicing, fixed assets, purchase orders, etc., as needed.
- Collaborate closely with multiple departments to collect and evaluate data needed for journal entry preparation. Support the creation and documentation of procedures pertaining to internal controls over the tasks completed. Participate in meetings and record discussions of topics covered.
- Other responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline
- 4 years of Related Accounting Experience
- Experience in warehousing/logistics industry is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient in Excel and Netsuite ERP
- Excellent Communication Skills
