Job Summary - Breakfast Attendant

Breakfast attendants have many duties to perform during a shift. Main duties include setting up and breaking down each morning’s breakfast buffet. The attendant may perform duties similar to those of a restaurant waiter or busboy such as attending to special food orders or needs of the guests, clearing dirty plates from tables, relaying customer needs to the kitchen and providing or refilling drinks.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Ensure buffet items such as fruits, breads, cereals and bakery items remain well-stocked
• Maintain the safety and appearance of the buffet area and clean the area in preparation for the next day
• Replenish silverware, sugar caddies and condiments, light to moderate food preparation and refill beverage containers for the next day’s use
• Mop and sweep floors and wipe down all tables and counter-tops

Abilities Required

• Must have the ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

• Weekends as needed

• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
