Maintenance Technician
Duties/Responsibilities:
Electrical
· Leads all troubleshooting and process improvement that would require programming changes to PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc. in CFL USA facilities.
· Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
· Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
· Perform general electrical maintenance.
· Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to diminish and eliminate downtime.
· Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
· Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
· Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
· Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
· Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
· Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
· Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
· Repair and replace components as needed
· Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Adhere to all safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, etc.
· Knowledge of motor control logic is a MUST.
· Knowledge of how to use a multimeter.
· Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
· Assist in training and mentoring electrical and mechanical technicians as needed
Mechanical
· Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
· Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
· Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
· Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
· Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
· Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
· Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
· Prepares reports documenting work performed.
· Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
· Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
· Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
· Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Must be willing to travel internationally for training.
