We are seeking an entry-level accountant to join our team located in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where the individual will be responsible for various accounting functions and data entry tasks. The workplace is on-site and offers flexible hours. Responsibilities:• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and record transactions effectively• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure all financial transactions are accurate and timely• Perform data entry tasks related to accounting transactions to maintain up-to-date and accurate records• Conduct check processing to ensure all payments and receipts are managed accurately• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments• Resolve customer credit inquiries efficiently and professionally• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently• Maintain accurate customer credit records to ensure up-to-date account information• Assist in other accounting functions as required, to support the smooth operation of the finance department.
