Job Description
Compassionate, reliable and dedicated to providing quality care for seniors. In this role you will help residents maintain a sense of independence and vitality by aiding them in daily tasks, as well as, providing them with their needed medication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and individualized assistance to our residents.
Contact Resident families with any questions or concerns.
Assist with daily personal tasks such as dressing, oral hygiene, bathing.
Handle emergent situations with a calm, gentle attitude.
Take blood pressures, monitor resident weights.
Ensure residents’ rooms are clean and tidy.
Resident laundry.
Monitor and report any concerning changes in resident’s behavior, condition or skin breakdown.
Ensure residents are eating and drinking according to health care provider’s orders.
Use EMAR system to chart medications and treatments.
At the end of shift you are responsible for having ALL documentation complete
Provide compassionate, yet professional companionship and conversation.
Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
Complete state required incident reports per LARA guidelines.
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CNA or MA prefered
Must be willing to provide compassionate holistic care with dignity and respect.
Work experience in a residential care facility is preferred.
Must have good references from previous employers.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
Good conversation skills and a friendly demeanor.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Able to maintain organized logs of activities and services provided.
Physically capable of doing work that requires standing, lifting, bending, and pushing.
Patient and calm, especially in difficult situations.
Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs.
