If so, this exciting new role as our Property Maintenance Technician/Handyman is calling your name.
Who We’re Looking ForAs the successful candidate, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various components of our residential properties throughout Macomb and Oakland County. This role requires a high level of technical skill and expertise in residential maintenance, coupled with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
What Your Day Will Be LikeYour typical day will involve performing inspections, basic home repairs, and preventative maintenance duties. You’ll tackle everything from changing shower valves to repairing HVAC systems. You'll also be called upon to troubleshoot things like WiFi connections, refrigerators and maybe even assemble furniture.   • Please note: this position is classified as a 1099 independent contractor role and does not include employee benefits or protections.
Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and repair various residential property components including cabinets, drywall, painting, light framing, windows, and doors.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (furnaces, AC units, boilers, electric HVAC systems), plumbing components (toilets, drain assemblies, shower valves, faucets), electrical components (outlets, switches, circuits, light fixtures), and appliances (refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, dishwashers).
  • Respond promptly and professionally to service requests during guest stays.
  • Respond to after-hour calls and emergencies to ensure minimal disruption to a guest's stay.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of Maintenance experience, preferably in Property Management
  • Able to communicate & troubleshoot maintenance tasks in both vacant & occupied homes & apartments
  • Able to work well both independently or as part of a team
  • Willing and able to travel to various locations throughout Macomb/Oakland County
  • Able to pick up material necessary to complete various repairs
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly Wage: $30 – $35 per hour based on experience and achievement
