Our client is a clinical laboratory that provides innovate specialty testing to healthcare professionals around the world. They are seeking a Clinical Chemistry Manager to join their growing team!

Schedule

  • M-F
  • 1st shift

Pay

  • $80k-150k

Key Tasks:

  • Manage chemistry personnel and testing to ensure accuracy, timely completions and reporting of laboratory analysis
  • Evaluate daily workload and assure that work is being attended to
  • Monitor laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Includes review of quality control, and instrument and equipment maintenance.
  • Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
  • In the event of non-conformances, ensure that results of test examinations are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning
  • Verify that staff are trained and competent prior to performing testing on patient specimens independently
  • Verify that testing personnel are evaluated initially, at six months and thereafter annually, as being competent for assigned tasks
  • Maintain documents for all QC/QA activities and report them to the lab coordinator

Experience/Education:

  • MD, PhD with 1 year of clinical experience
  • Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience in a clinical environment
  • Bachelor’s in chemical, Physical, or Biological Science and 6 years-experience in clinical environment
  • ASCP/MT certification preferred
