- $80k-150k
Key Tasks:
- Manage chemistry personnel and testing to ensure accuracy, timely completions and reporting of laboratory analysis
- Evaluate daily workload and assure that work is being attended to
- Monitor laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Includes review of quality control, and instrument and equipment maintenance.
- Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
- In the event of non-conformances, ensure that results of test examinations are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning
- Verify that staff are trained and competent prior to performing testing on patient specimens independently
- Verify that testing personnel are evaluated initially, at six months and thereafter annually, as being competent for assigned tasks
- Maintain documents for all QC/QA activities and report them to the lab coordinator
Experience/Education:
- MD, PhD with 1 year of clinical experience
- Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience in a clinical environment
- Bachelor’s in chemical, Physical, or Biological Science and 6 years-experience in clinical environment
- ASCP/MT certification preferred
