Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversees and leads material handling personnel. Assigns tasks and follows-up on accomplishment. Coordinates with other Team Leaders to accomplish inter-departmental tasks.
Reviews the shipping and receiving and production schedules to determine work flow and to ensure materials are available efficiently and safely according to the schedules. Ensures documentation to support shipping and receiving operations is completed accurately and timely.
Leads the shipping and receiving operations.
Assists management to ensure all work is performed according to the correct company procedure.
Ensures safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job.
Maintains open line of communication between employees, management and executives by communicating with others as needed to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Efficiently uses available manpower to ensure production schedules are met.
Reviews and signs off on shipping and receiving documents, pick sheets, and other records to verify work is completed.
Leads to ensure inventory activities are completed accurately and on-time including daily, monthly, quarterly and year end.
Enters work orders on Maintenance system as needed.
Enters purchase requisitions in NAVISION and gets budget manager approval for supplies or parts as needed.
Updates work instructions and training records as needed.
Recommends measures to improve area work, safety, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency, safety, or quality of department or product.
Troubleshoots and resolves work problems and/or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains area production records.
Maintains open line of communication between employees, management and executives by communicating with others as needed to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Assist to perform or help associates as needed in the production control group to achieved production schedule.
Trains shipping and receiving associates on all work instructions and any other processes as required or needed. Maintains the Area Visual Training Matrix.
Leads 5S and Housekeeping in the shipping and receiving area.
Participates in the non-conformance process and leads corrective actions activities according to approved procedures
