Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

⁃ Answering and forwarding phone calls

⁃ Indexing document to sales and purchase orders

⁃ Entering vendor invoices and matching to purchase orders

⁃ Review, process, print, and mail checks for payment

⁃ Research and resolve pricing, quantity, and other discrepancies between internal and vendor documents

⁃ Reconcile and process credit card statements related to vendor payments

⁃ Reconcile bank statements

⁃ Process preliminary notices and lien releases related to jobs for contractor clients

⁃ Verify delivery documents, sales tax, and other information when billing orders

⁃ Tender credit card payments from clients

⁃ Reach out to key clients for collections

⁃ Apply client payments for cash receipts

⁃ Communicate regularly with internal associates, vendors, and clients via phone/email

Schedule

⁃ Monday - Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM); Tuesday/Thursday required to be in the office

Requirements and Traits

⁃ 1 year experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping (Preferred)

⁃ Bachelor’s degree in business administration w/emphasis in Accounting or Finance

(Preferred)

⁃ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

⁃ Proficiency in arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

⁃ Attention to detail and ability to work carefully within system procedures

⁃ Task-oriented

⁃ Ability to think critically and find efficient ways to achieve a desired goal

⁃ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation

⁃ $21/hr to start; pay increased upon completion of checklist:

⁃ AP Basic ( $1/hr); AP Advanced ( $1/hr); AR Basic ( $1/hr); AR Advanced ( $1/hr)
