Human Resources Generalist

As the Manager of Human Resources with Taylor Companies, your role is to harness the untapped power of our employees and culture to create a quality organization that transforms our 174-year-old family-owned business.
You will report directly to our Director of HR and work closely with the onsite Operations Manager to be a key member of the team to ensure our culture and values and consistency is followed on site.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain employee records
· Manage the sites HRIS system- Paylocity
· Participate in the recruiting, hiring, discipline, and training of employees at the site
· Manage the payroll processing for the site
· Ensure site is following all policies outlined in the employee handbook
· Work with Director of HR on employment issues on site including to FMLA, workers comp, etc.
· Advise operations of important dates such as review dates, certain training dates
· Increase employee engagement & culture expectations that align with Taylor such as:
o Suggestion programs, employee shout outs, yearly employee event, wellness program, etc.
· PTO, attendance tracking inside the HRIS

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position requires work in both the office and warehouse environment. When working in the office setting, this position is largely sedentary with longer periods of sitting and light office lifting required. Employee must be able to navigate the warehouse floor to review safety, speak with employees or implement processes. There may be some noise and machinery in the vicinity.
