Ultimate Toys partners with premier vehicle manufacturers and customization companies to design, produce, and distribute luxury recreational vans and vehicles. Notably, Ultimate Toys’ flagship Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles are noted for their innovative bathroom design which provides over 50% more space than a typical conversion vehicle. In 2023, the company received an investment from Corinthian Capital Group, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on investing in family owned or operated companies, providing additional capital to accelerate revenue growth and scale the company under the leadership of Founder & CEO Josh Green.Overview of the General Manager RoleUltimate Toys seeks a dynamic GM with a strong commercial acumen to lead the day-to-day operations of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO and with ownership of a broad span of functional areas, the GM will bring a blend of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, primarily focusing on commercial operations, including sales, sales operations, and service, as well as client relations, vendor management, and operations issues. In addition to leading day-to-day operations, the GM will play a pivotal role in driving the go-to-market strategy, overseeing sales and client services, and ensuring operational excellence across all facets of the business.Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of commercial operations, including sales, operations, and client services.
  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market and customer engagement strategies.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors.
  • Ensure a seamless online sales process from lead generation to contract closure and delivery.
  • Optimize the company's P&L, with a focus on aggressive revenue and EBITDA growth.
  • Uphold and enhance the company's culture, aligning with the CEO's vision of a collaborative and engaging work environment.
  • Work closely with the CEO to support innovation and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, driving performance and professional development.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a GM, COO, or relevant commercial role, preferably in an automotive dealership, luxury transport, or a similarly sizable online purchasing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and profitability in a high-end market.
  • Experience in the automotive dealership space and/or a keen understanding of dealer networks and automotive supply chains.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on team building and culture development.
  • Financial savvy and experience in managing a P&L.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and experience creating processes and procedures to streamline and drive excellence around client success; experience working with highly discerning, typically high-net-worth customers is highly desirable.
  • A strategic thinker with a track record of operational excellence.
  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of digital tools and platforms preferred.
  • Understanding of online marketplaces and familiarity with e-commerce platforms a plus.
