Position and Company Overview

We are Tampa Bay's leading luxury vacation property management company with a long history of delivering exceptional guest experience and generating tremendous value for our owners and guest. We seek a highly qualified individual with a background of running teams, executing a business plan and focused on delivering value to the customer. Ideal candidate will have a background in the vacation property management or the travel/hospitality industry; have managed a team and recognizes hospitality is not a typical "9-5" job.

The role of General Manager is to oversee and coordinate, under limited supervision, all property management activities associated with 60 properties and daily business activities of the organization. The GM will supervise staff (house keeping, maintenance, billing, property managers and accounting), in an efficient, cost effective manner. The GM is the liaison between the business and property owners and tenants. Further, GM will be responsible for company reservations (in-house and OTAs).

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Manage staff, motivate teams and build a high performance culture. Operate as a "servant leader" - demonstrating you ability to serve your staff, owners and guests.
• Work with our financial team to evaluate monthly financial performance metrics.
• Oversee and coordinate maintenance, guest check ins, billing and owner relations.
• Review and approve all invoices and expenditures prior to payment for each property on a weekly basis.
• Work with accounting on monthly owner payouts.
• Determine property needs for maintenance and capital improvements/upgrades and arrange for those needs.
• Responsible to coordinate and supervise all vendors (i.e. garbage, utilities, lawn care etc...) based on property needs. This includes bidding, negotiating and executing contracts for all contracted services. Ensure vendors have proper licenses, insurance and permits.
• Drive bookings - manager and make reservations

Minimum requirements (Educational/Experience/Technical Requirements)

• Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred not required
• 3 years of experience in the hospitality, tourism or vacation property management industry

Skills required

• Excellent communication skills are required to communicate with owners and vendors. Spanish speaking is a STRONG plus
• Should have leadership qualities and must be a team player.
• Knowledge of business principles
• Able to handle a number of tasks and projects

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
