Duties:
- Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct cash flow analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing cash management
- Reconcile balance sheets and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare and review journal entries, debits, and credits
- Perform general ledger accounting functions
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve financial performance
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Proficient in financial analysis techniques and tools
- Experience in cash flow analysis and management
- Ability to reconcile balance sheets accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus
- Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Expertise in journal entries, debits, credits, and general ledger accounting
- Proficient in bank reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
