CNNGA has an immediate opening for an Installation Technician.
A plumbing or other trade license is preferred for this position. Compensation is commensurate experience.

The job description and qualifications are as follows:
Under guidance from the Senior Installation Technician, performs safe and professional installation of natural gas plumbing and appliances for residential and commercial customers. Reports to the Operations Supervisor of Unregulated Services & Customer Gain.
III. Principle Accountabilities include:
· Performs natural gas plumbing and appliance installations for residential and commercial customers. Vents appliances as needed while ensuring compliance with all applicable building and safety codes and regulations.
· Inspects pipes and other equipment for leaks.
· Installs gas meters, receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports including work orders, leak reports, survey sheets, time sheets, daily work reports, etc.
· Primarily interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the Senior Installation Technician, Supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
· Assist with line location and meter reading, as needed.
Secondary Duties:
· Assist in the installation of underground gas mains and service lines as needed.
· Restores or disconnects service to customers as appropriate.
· Performs minor repairs on natural gas equipment.
· Assists in maintaining an organized inventory of tools and materials used in daily tasks.
· Accurately records labor and materials used for individual jobs to ensure proper customer billing; completes other required forms and reports as directed.
· Receives and responds to inquiries, requests, and complaints from customers; provides information, or refers problems to appropriate personnel.
· Subject to on-call for after-hours and weekend emergencies according to schedule.
· Operates a vehicle and a variety of equipment such as a telephone, radio, ditch witch, backhoe, tractor, and dump truck.
· Services heaters, dryers, kitchen appliances, pipefitter tools, mechanic's tools, diagnostic instruments, hand tools, power tools, pipe locators, lift equipment, carpentry tools, air compressors, meters, gauges, etc.
· Assist in the performance of leak survey tasks as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have and maintain a SC Driver’s License and the ability to maintain standards for insurability.
· Daily completion of required documentation
· Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field
· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
· Demonstrated computer Skills.
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
· Within 24 months, obtain and maintain pertinent Operator Qualifications and successfully perform job-related skills as required.
Desired qualifications:
· Associate degree in a Technical Field
· 3 years’ experience in the natural gas industry.
· Possess and maintain a valid state of South Carolina commercial driver's license.
· Electrical experience
· Heavy equipment operation
· Welding Experience
Appliance Service Experience
Physical Requirements:
· Work is minimally strenuous but may require exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body; will involve walking or standing for extended periods. Primarily working outdoors and may involve working during inclement weather. Must be able to walk over uneven terrain.
· Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and out-town, as needed.
