Big Horn Heating and Cooling is seeking a self-driven HR professional to join our rapidly growing team as HR Manager. Someone with a growth mindset and genuine interest in the well-being of our people will thrive in this position. That includes fostering a positive culture at all of our locations and serving as a role model for team members. The ideal candidate will bring new ideas and operate as a trusted member of the management team. Knowledge of state and federal labor laws is required. Additionally, this individual should be able to successfully execute and improve upon current policies in addition to implementing new ones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Source candidates and respond to inbound inquiries for employment
• Oversee the process of interviewing, hiring, and coordinate timeline hiring process from start to first day
• Facilitate pre-employment and onboarding
• Administering pay, benefits, and leave
• Assist in launch of new compensation and benefits package
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employees to improve satisfaction, retention, and productivity
• Build positive rapport with employees at all locations
• Recognize employees for work-related achievements and personal achievements (birthdays, weddings, etc.)
• Create an open and anonymous line of communication for feedback
• Collaborate with management team on providing opportunities for career development and training
• Partner with department managers to define and measure performance metrics
• Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
• Workplace safety: Create a safe work environment and conduct disciplinary actions as necessary
• Improve and manage employee handbook

Requirements

• Regional travel 25 - 40%
• Hybrid work: In-person at one of our locations and remote work
• Experience with conflict resolution
• 5 years experience in HR
• Experience in recruiting preferred
• College degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
