Key Responsibilities:
Demolition:
Safely and efficiently remove existing structures, fixtures, and materials from the project site as directed.
Construction:
Assist in the construction and installation of new structures, fixtures, and materials according to project plans and specifications.
Carpentry:
Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as framing, installing cabinets, doors, trim, and other woodworking tasks.
General Labor:
Perform various manual labor tasks, such as loading and unloading materials, cleaning the work area, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Material Handling:
Handle and store materials and tools properly, keeping an organized and clean workspace.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with the project manager, lead contractor, and other team members to coordinate tasks and report progress.
Quality Control:
Ensure that work is completed to high-quality standards and meets project specifications.
Problem-Solving:
Identify and address issues or challenges that arise during the project and work with the team to find solutions.
Customer Service:
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients or homeowners on the job site.
Adaptability:
Be willing to take on a variety of tasks and adapt to changing project needs.
Key Tasks:
Physical labor: Performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy materials, and operating machinery
Site Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring safety measures are in place
Assisting Skilled Workers: Providing support to Superintendent and/or subcontractors
Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Teamwork: Collaborating with other crew members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Quality Control: Ensuring work meets company standards and reporting any defects or issues to Superintendent
Communication: Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any concerns
Clean-up: Cleaning and organizing the work area, tools, and equipment at the end of each workday
Adherence to Regulations: Complying with local building codes and regulations, as well as any specific project guidelines
Problem-Solving: Identifying and helping to resolve on-stie challenges and issues as they arise
