Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze project documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure the best pricing for projects
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid or similar programs to create detailed estimates
- Monitor and track project costs to ensure adherence to budget
- Provide support during the bidding process and participate in bid reviews

Experience:

- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of construction management principles
- Ability to price out projects accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in HeavyBid or similar estimating software
- Familiarity with project management processes
- Understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Experience in cost control methods within the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction sites and building processes
