JOB TITLE: Phone Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

The Phone Sales Associate is responsible for selling products while providing excellent customer service. Sales Associates perform an important role in the overall customer experience by helping with sales and customer inquiries.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice President and General Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

INCOMING CALLS:

· Take customer’s orders in a polite and timely manner

· Answer all customer questions

· Sell products to customers

OUTBOUND CALLS:

· Call current customers to acquire their orders and sell products

· Locate and call potential customers to sell products

PROCESS CUSTOMER ORDERS:

· Verify information from customer is accurate

· Check orders for accuracy and typographical errors

· Complete all necessary paperwork

· Special order parts needed from manufacturers

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist walk-in customers

· Develop new business and create a pipeline of potential contacts for buying automotive exhaust parts and other products

· Manage and grow customer base to achieve monthly sales goals

· Coordinate freight orders with General Manager

· Be prompt to workstation at scheduled time

· Responsible for cleanliness at workstation, including floors

· Adhere to Henschel and Sons Automotive Warehouse, Inc. policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: A valid Driver’s License required.

EXPERIENCE:

· Must be 21 years of age.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Basic computer skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional phone demeanor with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility with sales strategies- cold calling, prospecting and networking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook and have computer/ Mobile device knowledge
• Ability to manage conflict

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Approval to verify driving history at the time of authorization and annually
• Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of the job
• Possess willingness to learn and grow with energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
• Possess strong attention to detail
• Possess dependability to be consistently at work and on time
• Possess ability to sit for extended periods during normal phase duties
• Possess light/ medium (5-25 lbs.) lifting capability during normal phase duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
