Role DescriptionThe Business Development Professional is tasked with driving strategic sales initiatives, acquiring new clients, and fostering partnerships to expand drvn's market presence. This role is responsible for developing sales strategies, acquiring new customers, generating revenue, expanding market share, and closing deals to meet revenue objectives. Through proactive outreach and negotiation, this role identifies opportunities, cultivates relationships, and executes plans for sustainable growth, ultimately contributing to our company's success in the transportation sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research and Analysis
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market segments, and industry trends in the transportation sector.
  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer preferences to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation.
Client Acquisition
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new clients, focusing on industries and businesses with high demand for premium transportation services.
  • Tailor sales presentations and proposals to showcase the company's unique value proposition, service offerings, and competitive advantages.
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers and key influencers within target organizations, understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Open and transparent negotiations with Partner Affiliates to secure the company's pricing strategy and ensure market conditions are aligned with the negotiated costs and availability.
  • Skillfully negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and maximize margins for the company.
Client Relations and Management
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their evolving needs, gather feedback, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell additional services, renew contracts, and expand the scope of existing client relationships.
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities with hotels, event venues, travel agencies, and other businesses.
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align on business development objectives, share insights, and drive coordinated efforts to achieve company goals.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the field to inform product development, service enhancements, and operational improvements that enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Maintain contact with qualified leads in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business development strategies, setting ambitious but achievable growth targets and milestones.
  • Forecast sales projections, revenue targets, and market expansion opportunities, leveraging data-driven insights and industry benchmarks to inform decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Business development, sales, or related experience, preferably in travel.
  • Track record of increasing revenue, hitting sales targets, and expanding market reach.
  • Ability to influence and persuade decision-makers to act.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving and exceeding performance goals and objectives.
  • Work independently or in a team. Proactive, self-motivated, and self-sufficient.
