Gallant is Hiring a Business Development Manager Near Crystal, IL

The primary role of the Business Development Manager, as directed by the Director of Business Development, will be to find and qualify solid leads for the construction and facilities departments (Construct. Enhance. Maintain.) within multiple marketing sectors and convert them into viable bidding opportunities. This resulting in meeting or exceeding sales revenue goals.

The individual selected for this role will have an established network of contacts, prospects and influencers within one or more of the marketing sectors that Gallant is focused on. The successful candidate will have historical evidence of turning leads into solid opportunities. The Business Development Manager position is relationship focused and the selected candidate must have a natural ability to connect with people at all levels of an organization. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication as well as the ability to be persuasive. Makes sense, right?!

The Business Development Manager must be willing to attend after-hours networking events, and conventions in and out of town and will join the appropriate industry groups for additional networking opportunities.

The Business Development Manager is expected to maintain an active relationship with their established accounts to ensure additional opportunities are secured.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the sales plan.
  • Opportunity prospecting (through networking, industry publications, and industry events supporting all Gallant services)
  • Lead qualification to ensure prospects are the right-fit clients with right/fit opportunities.
  • Ability to learn, understand and sell the full-service portfolio of Construct-Enhance-Maintain
  • Manage a pipeline of business through the various stages of discovery, qualification, and bidding.
  • Manage the handoff of new business to estimating, construction, and facility teams.
  • Maintain communications with existing clients routinely to gauge customer satisfaction and the next opportunities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Five years of substantial industry experience demonstrating success in selling and developing new business relationships in a service industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the sales process involving multiple team members and multiple decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated network of decision makers including developers, owners, construction managers, property managers, facilities managers, architects, engineers, brokers and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to create Gallant business opportunities.
