Job Title: Workers Compensation Specialist

Job Summary: The Workers Compensation Specialist is responsible for managing and administering the workers' compensation program for the organization. This role involves handling claims, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support and guidance to employees and management on workers' compensation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Management:

• Receive and process workers' compensation claims.
• Investigate and document claim details, including interviews with employees, supervisors, and witnesses.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain medical reports and determine the extent of injuries.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure all claims are processed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies and insurance carriers.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims and related activities.

Employee Support:

• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their rights and responsibilities under the workers' compensation program.
• Assist employees in navigating the claims process and facilitate communication with healthcare providers.

Coordination and Communication:

• Act as a liaison between the organization, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and medical providers.
• Communicate claim status and updates to relevant parties, including management and affected employees.
• Coordinate return-to-work programs and accommodations for injured employees.

Risk Management:

• Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend preventive measures to reduce workplace injuries.
• Develop and implement training programs to educate employees and supervisors on safety and workers' compensation procedures
