Busy Boston (Dorchester) personal injury law firm has an immediate opening for a legal secretary. This is a full time 40 hours per week position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Right candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish, must be a good communicator and have strong organizational skills. Candidate must be very personable, energetic, dynamic, and dependable, detail oriented and has the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Request medical records;
- Manage calendars and schedules;
- Open, organize and update client files;
- Answer telephones, document and relay messages;
- Greet clients;
- Type correspondence;
- Proofing, and editing a variety of documents;
- Prepare and manage correspondence (incoming/outgoing mail);
- Compose and draft documents, forms and correspondence as required. (e.g., Help claims adjuster with demand package, letters to clients and Insurance companies;
- Management of client lists;
- Interpret for Attorney-Client meetings and conversations;
Requirements:
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Document;
- Positive and professional demeanor; able to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, including attorneys, staff, and clients;
- Organizational skills, ability to juggle several projects at the same time;
- Able to work independently and take initiative to accomplish objectives in a timely manner;
- Strong written and verbal communication skill;
- Experience working as a legal secretary is a major plus.
