Job Title: *LEAD* Dental Assistant , 5 years of experience, must be able to scan, make temporary crowns/bridges, ordering, we are looking for a well experienced and well rounded LEAD dental assistant. Position can turn into regional assistant trainer if desired for even further growth.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our brand new dental practice in Daleville, Virginia. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dental professionals, ensuring a seamless patient experience, and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures by preparing the treatment area and providing chair-side assistance.
  • Take and develop dental x-rays (as required), maintain and sterilize instruments, and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed.
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and maintenance of their oral health.
  • Manage and maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure dental equipment is in good working condition.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, handle billing, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Create a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for patients to alleviate any anxiety or concerns they may have.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
  • X-ray certification and CPR certification are required.
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is advantageous.
